LIRA GOLD Original Fresh Cow Drench delivers a gluconeogenic source of calcium critical to maintaining energy balance and calcium levels in fresh cows with 100 billion CFU’s of DFMs and a complete enzyme package. Our Original Fresh Cow Drench provides supplemental calcium propionate, zinc propionate, copper propionate, dextrose, yeast and direct-fed microbials and enzymes to supplement calcium and lessen the effects of fresh cow metabolic disorders.
Calving is a stressful time and several costly problems can arise. Generally, ketosis, milk fever and displaced abomasums occur within two weeks of freshening. LIRA GOLD Original Fresh Cow Drench has been formulated to reduce the incidence, severity and costs associated with these three major metabolic disorders! Calcium propionate is anti-ketogenic and serves to reverse negative energy balance. Oral administration of calcium to the cow at calving helps to return blood calcium concentration to normal.
